Email marketing lists are completely perishable and rotten email lists will hamper your email marketing to a great extent. Question 1: Do the people in your list have any previous relationship with you?

If your answer is yes, then you can skip the questions and move ahead to the next question coming up. However, if the answer is no, you need to clean the mailing list on priority, ensuring that unwanted and not so interested customers are permanently removed from the list. Question 3: Are you in continuous touch with the customers over the past 12 months?

If you answer this question as yes, then you are going good because keeping engagement alive is the key to success in email marketing. And, if your answer is no, then you are seriously not doing a worthwhile job and you will have to study the basics again to get success in this field.
